A British sailor broke the world record for sailing round the world sailboat

British sailor managed to break the world record for sailing around the
world on a sailboat. Not only that, he also became the first Englishman
to succeed around the world for four times.
"I am very excited. This is my fourth time around the world nonstop, and this time is the best because I'm wearing the fastest ship in the world," said Brian Thompson, the sailor, as reported by the BBC.
49-year-old man who holds the record of 25 was admitted to sea to sea invitation came when he was in the pub with Kevin Escoffier of the Banque Populaire group of sailors.
"At that Escoffier is looking for experienced sailors who are accustomed to traveling the world, so I was invited to participate," said Thompson, who had experienced more than 20 years.

"Eighteen years ago, sailed round the world record is 79 days, and we even made it to 45 days. This trip was amazing, we actually broke the record," Thompson said.
