Mexican President Felipe Calderon inaugurated the world's highest suspension bridge called the Bridge Baluarte. This bridge stretches over the cliff in the mountains of the Sierra Madre which has a depth of 403 meters.
This bridge will be part of a new causeway that cuts the distance between Mazatlan on the Pacific Coast inland to Durango in Mexico. The bridge is so high, so that even the Eiffel Tower is under bentangannya.
"This project will bring together people in northern Mexico," President Calderon said in the inauguration ceremony on Thursday, January 5, 2012.
The inauguration was accompanied by the conferring of Guinness World Records are delivered directly to Calderon. The bridge was officially beat the previous record holder, Bridge Millau Viaduct in France. viva
